Human Resources Business Partner – North York, ON

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and deliver HR projects, including change management initiatives.
     
  • Manage day-to-day employee relations; conduct preliminary investigations and escalate where appropriate.
     
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to track and support open requisitions.
     
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, guide decisions, and influence stakeholders.
     
  • Create and support HR communications such as presentations, letters, and documentation.
     
  • Maintain and update HR policies in alignment with legislation and internal standards.
     
  • Interpret and apply employment legislation (ESA and other provincial laws).
     
  • Prepare offer letters, employment agreements, and related documents.
     
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, and employee data within the HRIS.
     
  • Create and interpret HR reports using advanced Excel skills.
     
  • Administer benefits, pension plans, and employee programs.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years progressive HR experience).
     
  • CHRP designation preferred or in progress.
     
  • Strong customer-service orientation with experience advising multiple stakeholders.
     
  • Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
     
  • Conflict management/mediation experience required.
     
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and HRIS systems (Vista Viewpoint an asset).
     
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
     
  • French language skills considered an asset.

Administrative Assistant / Health & Safety Coordinator – Clarington, ON

 

McCrae Recruiting is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to support our business partner in a dual-role position: Administrative Assistant / Health & Safety Coordinator.

This role supports the Operations Manager and ensures both smooth office operations and strong Health & Safety compliance. The ideal candidate has experience in the construction industry, proficiency in QuickBooks, and a solid understanding of Health & Safety practices — particularly pertaining to COR Certification.


Key Responsibilities

 

Administrative Duties

  • Provide daily administrative support to the Operations Manager
     
  • Perform data entry using QuickBooks
     
  • Handle general office tasks as needed
     

Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and ensuring ongoing compliance for COR Certification
     
  • Update, track, and organize Health & Safety documentation
     
  • Work with the Operations Manager on all Health & Safety initiatives
     
  • Monitor and record employee and subcontractor training and certifications
     
  • Support audits, internal reviews, and preparation for external COR audits
     
  • Help ensure all construction sites meet safety standards and regulatory requirements
     

Qualifications

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Fleet Maintenance Manager, the Heavy-Duty Mechanic plays a key role in maintaining the company’s diverse fleet — from cube vans to highway trucks. Working within a collaborative maintenance team, you’ll perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure all machinery and vehicles are safe, efficient, and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and assigned work on company vehicles and equipment.
     
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and malfunctions, and execute necessary adjustments or replacements.
     
  • Conduct testing to confirm successful completion of repairs.
     
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and report on any issues encountered or resolved.
     
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
     
  • Follow company processes and contribute to continuous improvement in the maintenance shop.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid Truck and Transport Mechanic (310T) or Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician certification (or working toward it).

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment.

McCrae Recruiting is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator on behalf of our business partner located in North York, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated IT professional to join a dynamic team supporting a robust on-premises and cloud infrastructure environment across Canada and the U.S.

About the Role

As a Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure and cloud environments. You’ll provide hands-on operational support while leading technical projects that enhance system reliability, scalability, and security. This position offers a mix of day-to-day administration and strategic infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure services including servers, storage, LAN/WAN, telephony, UPS/generator systems, and cloud technologies (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
     
  • Manage and monitor:
     
    • Hyper-V/VMWare environments
       
    • Firewalls (SonicWall, Meraki) and network hardware (Cisco, HPE, Aruba)
       
    • Azure and Microsoft 365 tenants, Intune device management, and Defender ATP
       
    • Enterprise backup solutions (Veeam) and automated patch management
       
    • VoIP systems, routing, and switching
       
  • Support ITIL and IT governance best practices.
     
  • Serve as a technical liaison among management, vendors, and users.
     
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
     
  • Maintain clear documentation for installations, configurations, and upgrades.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive IT systems/network administration experience.

    • Network configuration (Meraki, VoIP, routing, switching)
