As a Senior Service Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring the highest quality repairs and maintenance of vehicles, from diagnostics to completion, while collaborating with the sales team and service coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostics and repair work on new vehicle deliveries and current inventory.
- Collaborate with the sales team and service coordinator to schedule repairs and subcontracted work.
- Order parts and manage inventory for the service department.
- Greet customers, discuss their automotive repair needs, and provide detailed repair estimates.
- Explain the work to be performed and advise customers on additional services or products.
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers, providing updates on repair progress and any changes to the repair plan.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and customer interactions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the automotive field.
- Expertise in servicing domestic pickup trucks (e.g., Ford F150, GMC Sierra, Dodge RAM).
- Formal education and certification are highly desirable but not mandatory for the right candidate.
Key Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills for in-person, phone, and email interactions with customers, service technicians, and staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage the entire shop effectively.
- Competence in generating comprehensive work orders and invoices.
- Strong customer service, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Structural Designer
McCrae Recruiting is looking for a talented Structural Designer to join our clients growing team within the Durham Region.
Job Overview
- Prepare structural system/production design based on client specifications, company standards, and codes.
- Create 2D and 3D CAD part/assembly drawings in accordance with departmental procedure.
- Revise drawing as required during the design and construction phase of the project.
- Assist in the maintenance of the master file database of drawings and related records.
- Read and understand structural and architectural drawings including building egress and layout.
- Provide BOM and specifications based on individual projects.
- Determine appropriate sections and components required to meet customer needs as described by Sales Team (internal – capacity & weight calculations)
- Create material take-offs and quotations using Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and Microsoft Business Solutions Navision, using standardized descriptions and internal pricing.
- Coordinate with and consult Engineering and Production to design, layout or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
- Visit the site if required by the customer or sales department.
- Track drawing assignments and completion dates for each project
- Maintain a professional skill set for AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
- Other tasks as required.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of solid drafting experience required.
- Technology Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering and/or an Engineering degree is a must
